What’s Interactiv’ Publisher?

Interactiv’ Publisher gives you the autonomy to create documents in an automated way on InDesign thanks to the automatic layout of EasyCatalog (65bit Software).

Interactiv’ Publisher therefore includes the acquisition of the InDesign EasyCatalog plug-in, as well as support at every stage for the implementation of this plug-in (support, training, installation of EasyCatalog, expertise around your data in order to be able to link them to InDesign correctly etc.).

What’s EasyCatalog?

EasyCatalog is the ideal tool for creating files such as catalogs, product sheets, data sheets, directories, labels and more. EasyCatalog lets you automatically and securely assemble data from Excel, XML, database and PIM files in Adobe InDesign. Making changes? Updates to your data are reflected directly in your layout.

EasyCatalog is the benchmark solution for automated catalog layout.

Is it possible to connect EasyCatalog to a product database (PIM)? If so, which ones?

EasyCatalog can connect to any PIM on the market, thanks to its ODBC connector. This additional module enables you to update your InDesign document as soon as a modification has been made in your database, and conversely, to update your database when modifications have been made to your InDesign document.

Interactiv’ Technologies has also developed its own PIM, Interactiv’ DataBase.

Can multilingual document be managed with EasyCatalog?

It is very easy to transcribe a catalog into different languages. For example, you can translate a French document into English in just a few clicks. You will save precious time by automating this type of publication.

What is the duration of an EasyCatalog project?

Thanks to the Interactiv’ Publisher solution, EasyCatalog can be set up in a few weeks. The training only requires a few days. The duration of each project can be personalized according to the needs of each person and the internal skills of your company.

What types of documents can I create with EasyCatalog?

EasyCatalog lets you create all kinds of publications: catalogs, data sheets, product sheets, directories, labels, etc., even with lots of pages. You can also automate the creation of labels, barcodes, product sheets and price lists.

Can my document be automated?

While some catalogs may not seem automatable at first glance, they can become so with a simple restructuring. In fact, over 3/4 of all catalogs, directories, data sheets, product sheets, labels, etc. can be automated. Our graphic designers will be happy to work with you to explore the possibilities of automating your documents.

Can I layout a catalogue in EasyCatalog with a very large number of references / information?

The data can be sorted, grouped, and filtered with the EasyCatalog pallet to make it easy to work even with many references. A search tool also allows you to find and isolate a particular reference.

Is EasyCatalog useful if my document only has very few pages?

Even if a document/catalogue has few pages, this is not an obstacle to its automation. EasyCatalog is useful in the following cases: marketing support based on the product database, translating catalogs in several languages, regular updates of product information, etc. Choosing Interactiv’ Publisher (EasyCatalog) to automate your publications will save you time and invaluable productivity.

What are the points covered during the training courses?

During the training sessions, you will cover a wide range of topics. This will also depend on your level. The courses can also be personalized if desired.

In EasyCatalog’s classic training courses, the following points are developed: import/export, panel configurations, creation and assembly of templates, custom fields, assemblies for summaries and indexes, synchronization between a data source and an InDesign document, etc.

Among the InDesign training courses, we provide Basic Training, but also training on GREP styles, or other ‘personalized’ courses.

Can the training courses be paid for?

It is a purchase: you only need to buy (and therefore pay for) EasyCatalog once, during the purchase. Then, you will always have it.
